Founder & Chairman Dr. Smart has fort-eight years of aviation experience and 25 years as a college and university professor serving as Chairman, Director and Dean. Academic Credentials include doctorate degrees in education and psychology. An FAA Certified Commercial Pilot with CFII, MEI, ATP and 11,000 hours of flight experience. Also an FAA Certified A & P mechanic. Served in the U.S, Air Force and the National Guard.Flew in the 101st Airborne Division in the Cuban missile crises. Completed military service with a rank of LT. Colonel. Involved with Diamond Aircraft in a flight school environment since 1994 with fleet hours in excess of 153,000 hours. Extensive experience in building aviation flight programs in both the private and public sector. Anyone who knows Dr. Smart knows that he is totally committed to individual success.
